One of the worst things that can happen to a Christian is believing a false teacher without knowing it.

The danger is that the false teacher will not only take the time and money of the Christian but also hinder them from entering the Kingdom of God.

In this course, we maintain that a false teacher is the worst robber in the world because they steal and keep Christians from what is eternal. Physical possessions, when stolen, can be replaced, but how do you restore a lost soul and a life wasted?

Listen to what the Bible says about Bereans:

“Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true.”

(Acts 17:11)

Like the Bereans, we must examine or test what we’re taught on the pulpit, media, and Bible studies, and follow those who follow Christ.

In summary, a false minister or man of God misuses and misinterprets scriptures to say what he wants them to say that people want to hear. They refuse to listen or be questioned by other believers or ministers. And most sadly, they don’t practice what they preach.

Jesus called them blind guides who lead the blind into a pit. They shut the door for those who want to enter the kingdom of God. And they make the lives of those who enter God’s Kingdom more depraved and depressed. (Matthew 15:14, 23:13-15)
