We need to know why we’re here generally as human beings and specifically as individuals.

Whenever a fiery preacher or motivational speaker ignited my desire to discover my purpose, I left downcast, my cheek in my hand.

I felt like a child reaching out to grab the shining stars from the sky. I saw no obvious talent that made me stand out because I viewed doctors, engineers, lawyers, athletes, and artists as those with a clear and definite purpose.

Now I understand people and speakers overrate purpose.

It’s made to seem mysterious and out of reach for the ordinary person. This view that God created every person for one unique and personal purpose leaves many feeling useless, powerless, and with little to offer the world.

I’ve got great news for you.

The purpose and assignment of your life is simple, easy to understand, and within reach of every human being walking the earth.
