This course is about understanding and developing godly character – who you are according to God’s standard.

There is what the world considers character that’s usually seen on the outside, but God’s Word looks at the heart first.

For a Christian, the Holy Spirit transforms the heart and spirit, creating a new person. Then, as we renew our minds through the study and application of Scripture in our lives, He changes the way we think, brings down the strongholds of lies, and sets us free.

Without the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, we can’t develop character in all aspects of our lives. As you shall see in this course, the nine elements of the fruit of the Spirit are impossible to manifest in our own strength.

Jesus talked about bearing lasting fruit that brings great glory to God. It’s a result of abiding in Christ’s Word and His love, NOT the pursuit of God’s miracles, signs, wonders, material wealth, and physical health.

Here is the reason Jesus chose us out of the world;

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will remain—so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.”

(John 15:16)

Bearing fruit is not an option. A Christian either bears fruit or God cuts them off and throws them into the fire. God expects fruit. (John 15:2,6, Matthew 3:10)
